The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) continue to raise new earthen berms around their military positions in areas under their control east of the Euphrates River, as part of the fortification efforts that began in recent days.
According to local sources, the SDF has intensified the process of raising and reinforcing earthen berms, while simultaneously redistributing some of its personnel to positions near the banks of the Euphrates River and key roads in the region.
The forces are also working on equipping surveillance towers that were rebuilt earlier with the support of the international coalition. These towers are expected to expand the surveillance range, given their locations that overlook large areas of the opposite bank controlled by the Syrian government forces.
These measures are part of a series of field steps being taken by the SDF to enhance its military readiness amid intermittent tensions and concerns about any sudden movements along the front lines.
