The Ministry of Communications and Technology has formed a specialized working group aimed at improving telecommunications services in Deir Ezzor Province, following a visit by the Governor of Deir Ezzor to the ministry’s headquarters and his meeting with the Minister of Communications.

The working group includes the director of the Deir Ezzor Communications Branch and a number of experienced engineers. It will be responsible for assessing the current state of telecommunications networks in the province and developing a comprehensive vision for their technical needs.

The group’s tasks include contacting the telecom companies Syriatel and MTN to prepare plans for expanding coverage and improving service quality, in addition to emphasizing the need to ensure full coverage of the main road leading to the province. The group will also coordinate with the Syrian Telecommunications Company to repair damaged cables and upgrade the network’s infrastructure.

A final report is expected to be prepared, including proposed plans and technical recommendations, along with periodic updates submitted to the office of the Minister of Communications to follow up on implementation stages.
