The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced, in a statement it released today, Wednesday (June 10th), the end of the first phase of operation “Deterrence of Terrorism” it has launched with the international coalition in the past few days.
the statement, which was published on social media, read “The security campaign combed a land of approximately 175 km long and 60 km wide, including more than 150 villages and farms,”
According to the statement, the campaign raided 56 sites and targets of Daesh cells, during which the SDF arrested 110 “terrorists” and “persons suspected” of dealing with the cells.
The statement said that there have been no casualties among the coalition forces and the SDF who participated in the campaign.
It is indicated that on June 4, 2020, the international coalition and the SDF announced the launch of a large-scale security campaign called “Deterrence of Terrorism” to pursue the organization cells in the area extending from the southern Hasakah countryside in Al-Dishisha area adjacent to the Iraqi border to the border of Al-Baghuz along the Euphrates and Khabur rivers in Deir Ezzor countryside.
