On Wednesday, September 9, a clash broke out between members of the National Defense Militia (NDF) and a patrol of the Criminal Security Branch near the motorcycle market in al-Mayadeen city in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
Our correspondent said that a patrol of the criminal security service stopped a member of the NDF and asked him to show his identity card, but he refused, raised his weapon and clashed with the patrol. Both sides received reinforcements, which pushed the Russian military police to intervene and end the clash.
The NDF, Assad’s forces, security branches and Iranian and Russian militias share control of Deir Ezzor areas (west of the Euphrates).
