The Russian forces reduced the salaries of the officers of the Fifth Corps from the rank of lieutenant to captain to 90 US dollars, which was spent as a military mission, according to what was reported by the DeirEzzor24 network local reporter.
According to our reporter,, the Corps officers receive a salary from Assad’s forces of approximately 700,000 Syrian pounds, after the decision to keep the wages of volunteers only.
He added that the salaries of the brigade commanders were maintained as a military mission amounting to $200 and $500 for the Corps Commander (Brigadier General Al-Kumait), noting that the salaries of officers before the recent decision ranged from $350 to $1,000 depending on the rank and mission.
The salaries of the officers amounted to $140 for the first line, which is stationed at the points of the six villages in the Deir Ezzor countryside (east of the Euphrates), adjacent to SDF control, and $130 for the points of the second line west of (the Euphrates).
