On Wednesday, September 16, 2020, Russian forces entered eight large fuel tankers into the city of Deir Ezzor. Russian patrols escorted the tankers.

The tankers unloaded fuel in the Dahmoush fuel station and the Assad forces’ 17th Division’ s station .

The aim of entering fuel is to alleviate shortage of fuel in Deir Ezzor and limit traffic jam resulting from the fuel shortage.

Residents suffer due to severe shortage of fuel in Deir Ezzor amidst high prices of oil products sold in black market.
