A source told Deir Ezzor 24 network that a Russian delegation consisting of Russian officers including a general visited Deir Ezzor city two days ago.
According to the source, the Russian delegation visited al-Bukamal and al-Mayadeen cities in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside amid tightened security measures by Assad’s forces.
The source confirmed that the reason for the delegation visit was to check on the recruitment of elements, who will be sent to fight in Libya alongside Haftar’s forces.
The Russian forces have sent nearly four batches of men from Deir Ezzor city to Libya, after tempting them with salaries of about $2,000 per element.
