A DeirEzzor24 network reporter said that the Fifth Corps of the Russian forces in Deir Ezzor assigned its members to conduct night patrols on foot and on motorcycles within the seven villages in the Deir Ezzor countryside, east of the Euphrates.
The reporter added that the aim of this measure is to tighten security to prevent the Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia from using rockets to target the coalition base at the Conoco Gas Plant” base.
The Russian forces have recently tightened their security measures in Deir Ezzor against any movements of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia to the coalition bases in the countryside of Deir Ezzor.
The latest of these measures was the replacement of guard members on the dirt bridge that connects the town of Marat, east of the Euphrates, to the town of al-Mariyah, west of the Euphrates.
