The Hasakah Fire Brigade, in cooperation with emergency teams and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, carried out a rescue and evacuation operation for a number of citizens trapped by floods due to the rising water level of the Khabur River.
This operation came after heavy rainfall in Al-Hasakah Governorate, which led to an increase in water levels in rivers and waterways, and caused flooding in some residential areas.
Despite the difficult weather conditions and the danger of rising water, field teams were able to reach people stranded in the affected areas, where they were evacuated to safe places away from the flood stream.
The concerned authorities confirmed that all those rescued are in good health, after being secured and transferred to risk-free areas, while the specialized teams continue their work to monitor the situation and respond to any emergency.
