Today, the Director of Tabqa District, Mahmoud Mohammed Al-Sheikh, inaugurated the “Silk Market” in Tabqa City, with wide participation from representatives of institutions and service agencies, as part of efforts aimed at stimulating commercial activity and stimulating the local economy by providing an organized commercial environment that attracts craftsmen and merchants.

The project is part of plans to develop infrastructure and services in the northern part of the city. The market extends 78 meters in length and 17 meters in width, and includes 36 shops, each with an area of 20 square meters. It was implemented according to the Damascus roof.

Those in charge of the project stressed that the market aims to create new job opportunities for the people and provide an integrated shopping center that serves the residents of the area, which contributes to enhancing living stability and encouraging commercial investment in the city of Tabqa.
