DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
The Farmers’ Union, in partnership with the party’s branch in Deir Ezzor, ended the public auctions that included investing the lands wanted by the Assad regime in the third sector of Deir Ezzor, according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 network.
Our correspondent said that the appropriation is the correct word for the word investment, which includes thousands of agricultural acres, most of them in the town of Al-Mare’iya and the city of Muhassan, for the purpose of cultivating a new agricultural season.
He added that the rent of one dunum in the city of Mohassan amounted to 75,000 Syrian pounds, while it exceeded 200,000 pounds in the town of Al-Mariya, as it is fertile land.
He stressed that the increase in the rent of these agricultural lands is covered by an increase in the area by several times, as the area of the land leased by the leader “Hassan Ghadhban” in Hawija Al-Marayah reached 20 dunams, while it actually exceeds 300 acres with his brother, the Secretary of the Baath Party branch “Raed Al-Ghadban”.
He pointed out that these public auctions did not include the agricultural lands seized by the so-called pilgrims of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards militia in all agricultural sectors, such as the third in the lands extending from the town of Al-Marayyah to the town of Boqrus, east of Deir Ezzor, the fifth in Al-Quriya and the seventh in Al-Bukamal, which was qualified this season.
“Hajj Askar” is considered the second man in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards militia in Deir Ezzor after Haj Kamil, the most prominent of those investors in those sectors, especially in the city of Mohassan, where they seize large areas of the lands wanted by the Assad regime, most notably the leader “Muhannad Al-Tala’a”.
The influential people in the Assad regime in Deir Ezzor constituted the majority of those who took control of these rented spaces, such as the police chief, the leaders of the security branches, the secretary and members of the Baath Party leadership and the leaders of allied militias.
