On Saturday, October 3, a patrol of the national defense militia (NDF) attacked a checkpoint of the airforce intelligence at the entrance to the “suspension bridge” in al-Huwayqah neighborhood of Deir Ezzor city, Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent said.
According to our correspondent, the reason behind the attack is that the airforce intelligence checkpoint seized a motorcycle from an NDF member. A group of the militia attacked the checkpoint, which necessitated the intervention of the NDF commander to resolve the dispute.
For days, the security branches in Deir Ezzor has been carrying out a large-scale campaign in the neighborhoods of Deir Ezzor city to seize the unregistered motorcycles, and arrest those wanted for compulsory service.
