Clashes continue between Assad forces’ 4th Division and the National Defense Militia (NDF) in Deir Ezzor due to dispute over looted properties.
Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent said that a clash erupted between a group of the 4th Division and a group of the NDF militia in Mahkan town in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside after a checkpoint of the 4th Division prevented an NDF’s vehicle full of looted materials, coming from Al-Ashara city, from crossing without paying money as a tax for the Division. The two groups exchanged fire as the NDF militia members refused to pay money.
This is not the first incident between the NDF and the 4th Division, as the two sides had clashed with each other several times, and the reason at every time was the imposing of taxes on looted materials.
