A source reported to Deir Ezzor 24 Network that National Defense (ND) militia fighters withdrew from their posts in the Deir Ezzor steppe. The fighters are from the western Deir Ezzor countryside.

The source added that the fighters withdrew protesting the Assad forces’ and Russians’ reaction to the recent attack on ND posts. ND fighters were killed and injured in the attack, as the military commandership of the area refused to send reinforcements to the ND posts.

The source confirmed that ND fighters accused the Russian forces of being responsible for the attack, especially that the Russian affiliated 5th Corps secures the area of the attack.

Military operations occur in the Deir Ezzor steppe (West of the Euphrates), as Daesh is accused of responsibility. The area includes dozens of militias with multiple loyalties and nationalities.
