DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
An exclusive source told DeirEzzor24 network that the National Security Office in Damascus summoned both “Hossam Katerji” and Muhammad Hamsho, against the background of the conflict between their militias in Deir Ezzor.
According to the source, figures affiliated with both sides were summoned by the National Security Office in Damascus, such as “Nawaf al-Bashir”, “Madlool al-Aziz” and “Firas al-Iraqiya”, to try to resolve the dispute between them.
In a related context, tension still exists between the two parties in Deir Ezzor governorate, by erecting checkpoints and cutting off the road to oil tanks in the city of Mohassan and the towns of Buqrs and Zubari in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
The past few days have seen the leader of the National Defense Militia, “Firas al-Iraqiya”, join the “Hamsho” militia, in addition to the defection of dozens of the Qatirji militia from the Baggara tribe under the guidance of their sheikh “Nawaf al-Bashir” and their joining the Hamsho militia.
On the other hand, the leader Sheikh “Hammoud Al-Bashir” returned to the ranks of the Al-Qaterji militia in the Taym and 137th sectors, after he defected about a month and a half ago.
Deir Ezzor province has witnessed, for 6 days, a conflict between the Al-Qaterji militia and the Hamsho militia, due to the dispute over fuel after Hamsho’s rapid entry to the fuel market in Deir Ezzor, which was completely under the control of the Al-Qaterji militia, which led to a very large rise in fuel prices throughout Deir Ezzor.
