Military security personnel conducted intensive patrols in the villages of Al-Masrib and Al-Shamitiah in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, targeting the river shore, as it is a point where smuggling operations are active, as civilians and national defense elements use it to smuggle goods, collectibles and livestock from the Jazeera.
The military security elements aim from their operations to besiege the smugglers, and to limit the smuggling operations between their members and within their framework, as it is one of their financial resources, which makes them tighten the noose around the crossings and smugglers.
