Military security in the city of Al-Mayadeen, east of Deir Ezzor, arrested a number of members of the National Defense militia in the city, according to what was reported by the DeirEzzor24 network correspondent.
Our correspondent said that the charge was to smuggle members into SDF-controlled areas, in exchange for sums of money, thus helping them escape and defect, in addition to accusing them of photographing the military sites of the friendly forces (Iran-backed militias) deployed on the outskirts of the city and sending them to the international coalition.
The fate of the detained members has not been known yet, but from the first hours of their arrest, mediators began rushing towards influential figures in the Assad regime to remove them.
