DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
Meat prices have increased significantly in Deir Ezzor recently? This caused an increase in people’s demand to buy fish in the markets of the city of Al-Mayadeen, east of Deir Ezzor, according to what was reported by the Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
Our correspondent said that the significant increase in meat prices is due to the smuggling of sheep and cow meat into Iraq, by merchants loyal to the Assad regime and Iranian militias.
The price of a kilo of veal rose from 90,000 to 110,000, while the price of a kilo of lamb reached 140,000 per kilo after it was 110,000, and the price of a kilo of live chicken reached 25,000 after it was about 18,000, while the price of a kilo of fish ranges from 15,000 to 35,000.
It is noteworthy that the high prices of materials, including meat, in Deir Ezzor have several reasons, the most important of which are royalties from the Fourth Division and the Arabization operations towards Iraq.
