A source told Deir Ezzor 24 Network that last week, Iranian militias withdrew from the al-Mayadeen Badiya for the city center. The militias ordered Assad forces to send members to cover posts in the area.
The source added that the militias withdrew claiming that Iranian leadership obtained information about the International Coalition’s intention to bomb all Iranian militias’ outposts in al-Badiya.
The source emphasized that after the Assad forces covered the Iranian militias’ posts in al-Badiya, Daesh’s attacks on the posts increased, killing and injuring dozens of Assad forces’ members, and destroying and seizing vehicles.
Assad forces, Russian and Iranian militias, and National Defense militia share control in al-Mayadeen.
