DeirEzzor24 exclusive report

Iran-backed militias deployed on the banks of the Euphrates River in Al-Bukamal prevented the city’s residents from heading to the Euphrates River to swim in the river under the pretext that it is a military zone, according to a local reporter of the DeirEzzor24 network .

Our reporter said that militia elements arrested a number of people who tried to go to the river, and assaulted them before releasing them after stealing the money they had with them.

Recently, the Iranian-backed militias have increased their presence on the banks of the Euphrates River due to the escalation of military operations with the SDF in the area
