Local civilians ridiculed the earthen bridge linking Al-Huwayqa and Al-Hussainiya in Deir Ezzor, as its construction still crambles, after 70% of it was completed in a random and unstudied manner.
It is impossible to complete the remaining 70 meters, due to the intensity of the water flow, which led to the drift of the pipes and the deviation of the water to the river bank from the eastern side due to the blockage of the pipes on the southern side of the project, in conjunction with the evasion of the Fourth Division, which is in charge of the project, from taking responsibility for the pollution of the river.
The engineer supervising the bridge described it as primitive, stressing that it will collapse in front of the first flood of the Euphrates River, according to its implementation in isolation from studying the physical strength surrounding it, which may lead to serious environmental pollution if it collapses.
Earlier, Daesh elements completed a similar bridge in Al-Mayadin in a short period of time, but it was swept away by floods, as Russian forces and Iranian militias seem to be trying to emulate the Daesh experience.
