DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
All complaints and objections submitted by third-sector land investors in eastern Deir Ezzor to reduce the value of the financial fees on leased lands in the towns of Al-Jufra, Al-Mariyah, Al-Abd, Mohsen, and Al-Buleil, for the last winter season, have failed, according to a reporter of DeirEzzor24.
According to the reporter, most of last season’s crop invoices for lands in the aforementioned area are still held in the agricultural bank in the city of Deir Ezzor, adding that the rental fee amounted to 231 thousand Syrian pounds per dunam, paid to the Deir Ezzor Finance Ministry.
He pointed out that the influential investors of these lands and those who were required to pay these financial dues removed zero from the area of his cultivated land, as Major General Bilal Mahmoud, Commander of the Deir Ezzor province Police, did after he converted the area of his cultivated land from 400 dunams, with which all of its due fuel and fertilizer were rented.
Most of the lands rented by the people in the towns of Al-Mariyah and Al-Jufra have been paid a rent of approximately 100 thousand SYP to the “Al-Ghadhban” family.
