Al Mayadeen City Council continues to implement a large-scale service campaign to remove random garbage dumps in various neighborhoods of the city, coinciding with the arrival of summer and rising temperatures, in a step aimed at reducing health risks and improving the environmental conditions, especially with the return of many families after years of displacement.

The council’s cleaning teams work around the clock to remove waste and clean the streets, as part of ongoing efforts to return the city to a better condition and enhance its civilized appearance.

On the other hand, sanitation workers face increasing challenges as a result of some residents and shop owners throwing waste randomly in the streets, which hinders the work of service teams and doubles the need for additional cadres.

The City Council called on residents to commit to dumping waste in designated areas in an orderly manner, stressing that cooperation between relevant authorities and residents is a cornerstone in maintaining public health and improving the city’s service environment
