A number of media outlets have reported recently that Osama al Ghadab allegedly left Spain for Turkey after his family members had encountered specific issues regarding the necessary documents for their Spanish reunification residence visa.

In an exclusive interview with Deir Ezzor 24, Osama al Ghadab clarifies his current situation , and also tells us what he intends to do in the future.

Deir Ezzor 24:

1.What are the main issues that your family are currently facing, with regard to the requisite documents for the family reunion visa in Spain?

Osama al Ghadab: Actually, it is impossible to get certain documents, as my family who currently live in Turkey at the current time must first travel to Beirut, Lebanon to obtain these documents related to our family reunion visa in Spain. Based on the current security situation in Lebanon, my family will definitely not travel to that country, as they would be putting their own lives at risk.

Deir Ezzor 24:

2.What is the attitude of the Spanish government regarding this issue? What was their reaction?

Osama al Ghadab: Spanish government gave me the permission to stay , it also promised me to do its best in order to help me solve my current issue as quickly as possible but due to the coming Christmas holiday it might take few weeks to achieve this, It also gave me two choices whether to leave or stay in Spain in case it would not be able to find a suitable solution to my problem.

Osama al Ghadab: I feel pain and my heart starts trembling whenever Deir Ezzor is mentioned but I only left my country due to the harsh and rough conditions, which I and the people of Syria in general and Deir Ezzor in particular had faced.

We are waiting and hoping for the day when the war is over, peace is restored across Syria, and Deir Ezzor, whose memories remain memorable wherever we go, would return to its great history.Osama_320629_large-765x510
