DeirEzzor24 exclusive report
Human smuggling operations have increased across the Iraqi-Syrian border recently, according to a reporter of the DeirEzzor24 Network.
Our reporter said that members of the Iraqi Hezbollah militia are working to smuggle people from the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor to Iraq.
He added that the militia has raised the cost of smuggling from $1,500 to $2,500 per person, under the pretext that the Syrian-Iraqi border has been turned into a military zone by the Iranian-backed militias, preventing the entry of any civilians through it.
The price could rise even higher, and the amount is determined by whether the person is a civilian, a soldier, or wanted by the Assad regime.
