On Sunday, May 9, nearly seven members of the Syrian democratic forces (SDF) were killed and injured when gunmen targeted their bus near Al-Kuber village in the western Deir Ezzor countryside, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
Our correspondent said that gunmen in a pickup vehicle opened fire at the bus that was carrying SDF members, killing and injuring several members, who were taken directly to hospitals in the area.
He confirmed that the SDF encircled the scene of the incident and cut off the road between Al-Kuber and al-Jazrat in western Deir Ezzor.
The operation is part of a series of operations unidentified gunmen, believed to belong to Daesh, have been carrying out in several areas of Deir Ezzor countryside (east of the Euphrates).
