The General Corporation for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Deir Ezzor announced today, Wednesday, May 27, 2026, that four drinking water stations have been out of service, as a result of emergency conditions resulting from the flooding of the Euphrates River.

The technical teams explained that the stopped stations include: Jazret Al-Milaj, Al-Badia, Al-Kasra, and Al-Jenaina, noting that the technical workshops dismantled the raw pumping sets and electricity boxes from these stations as a precautionary measure to protect them from possible damage due to rising water levels.

The Institution confirmed that its teams continue to take precautionary measures at the remaining stations to ensure the continuation of their work and avoid any additional stops, in conjunction with following up on developments in the field situation on the banks of the Euphrates River.
