The international coalition carried out several airstrikes that targeted the neighborhoods of the Mayadin city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, resulting in a massacre in which four civilians were killed.
On Sunday, at around 9.30 pm, the international coalition carried out four strikes on the city of Al-Mayadin, the first of which targeted the Abdul Jabar School, which is home to displaced families, resulting in the killing of a local family of four ( husband, wife and their two children), and causing massive destruction in the targeted school. While, the second strike hit the Zakat Office located in the post building, causing material damages. The third targeted a former police station in the city, and the fourth targeted the clinics department in the Nuri Said Hospital, causing destruction to it.
The city of Al-Mayadin is now considered to be the most densely-populated area in the eastern region, after the city of Deir Ezzor was emptied of most of its residents. It is now subjected to daily airstrikes by the Russian aircraft, the coalition and the Assad regime.
