Foul odors have recently spread in the western neighborhoods of Deir Ezzor city, especially in Tab Ajjura and Al-Dhahiya neighborhoods.
These bad odors in the region were accompanied by a spread of various types of insects in very large numbers, such as cockroaches.
It is noteworthy that this area was part of the green belt surrounding Deir Ezzor city, and was turned into a landfill during the period when the areas controlled by the Assad’s forces were being besieged by Daesh in 2015,
and instead of relocating the landfill outside the city, the Assad regime has been spraying it with pesticides.
