DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
The Assad regime’s consumer protection patrols in the city of Deir Ezzor closed a number of shops with red wax, under the pretext of selling smuggled and expired materials, according to what a DeirEzzor24 network correspondent reported.
According to the reporter, the patrols demanded that the owners of shops on Al-Wadi Street in the Al-Joura neighborhood pay them financial bribes in exchange for not registering violations against them.
He added that a number of shop owners refused to pay bribes to patrol officers, which led to the closure of their shops under charges of possessing smuggled and expired materials.
Influential people of the Assad regime in Deir Ezzor practice blackmail against the people to collect sums of money illegally.
