Activists said that a football tournament for the popular neighborhoods will start next week in the city of Al-Bukamal, east of Deir Ezzor, under the supervision and organization of the Iranian Cultural Center.
According to activists, the stadium on which the tournament will be held was rehabilitated by the Iranian Jihad and Building Organization as a gift to the people of the city of Albukamal, and it is located next to the national hospital in the city.
These steps come within the efforts of the Iranian militias to form a popular base and win over the people of Deir Ezzor to their side.
