The wife of Firas al-Jaham, the commander of the National Defense (ND) militia, who is known as Firas al-Iraqiya, closed the ND’ al-Shuhadaa Institution in Deir Ezzor.
On Wednesday, al-Iraqiya’s wife came to the institution and asked the administration to close the institution,shouting “If Firas is not here, why are you working?”
Ten days ago, Firas al-Iraqiya and Hasan al-Ghaddban were summoned to a security branch in Damascus. Days later, al-Ghadban returned and was killed in a landmine explosion. Al-Iraqiya is still in Damascus, amidst contradicted accounts about the reasons for his detention.
