A number of retirees in the city of Hasakah complained about repeated cases of deductions of sums of money from their salaries during the disbursement process at Al-Hasakah Post Office, without explaining the reasons or providing official justifications for that.
Some retirees explained that the amounts deducted range between 30,000 and 100,000 Syrian pounds per salary, which sparked a state of dissatisfaction among the beneficiaries, especially in light of the difficult living conditions and high costs of living.
A number of them also pointed out that there are other obstacles related to the refusal of some legal agencies for patients, the elderly, or people unable to come in person to receive their salaries, even though these agencies are in effect and approved in various governorates.
Residents and retirees called on the concerned authorities to clarify the reasons for these financial deductions, and to indicate whether there are new instructions or decisions to reject legal agencies in Al-Hasakah Post Office, stressing at the same time the need to take into account the conditions of patients and the elderly and facilitate the procedures for receiving salaries.
