A delegation from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), headed by the organization’s Resident Representative and accompanied by the Head of Al-Mayadin City Council, conducted a field visit to the covered market in the city to review its current condition and assess its needs.
During the visit, the delegation listened to the demands of local residents and shop owners regarding the market’s conditions and the challenges they face, particularly those related to infrastructure and basic services.
This visit comes as part of ongoing preparations to rehabilitate the market with support from the United Nations Development Programme, contributing to the improvement of services, revitalization of commercial activity, and enhancement of economic activity in Al-Mayadin City, in a way that positively reflects on the livelihoods of local residents.
