D24 network correspondent confirmed that The first Regiment and elements of the international coalition have already begun to remove mines from the areas which Daesh was expelled from in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
The correspondent, who is conducting an investigation into the mines issue in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, indicated that the first regiment removed mines from several neighborhoods in Hajin city and Ash-Shafah town east of Deir Ezzor.
The correspondent noted that specialized units of the engineering corps were locating mines and installing warning signs in the area, so that engineering groups would remove the mines later.
D24 network received images and videos showing the mines removed from Hajin city in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, which had been planted by Daesh just before being expelled from the city by the SDF.
The images show different forms of the removed mines, which Daesh had planted inside the houses and villages in Deir Ezzor countryside to kill as many innocents as possible.
With the support of the international coalition, the SDF was able to expel Daesh from Hajin city late last year, after months of fighting.
D24 network will continue to shed light on the mines issue to sensitize the population in the areas that was under the control of Daesh in Deir Ezzor countryside.
D24 network calls on the engineering groups to complete the demining process in the civilian houses in Deir Ezzor countryside to maintain the safety and security of the people in the area.
The network is following-up the mines issue to reassure the people, explain their needs to those concerned, and secure their homes from the remnants of war.
