In the past days, “Syria Relief” organization announced a competition to select medical and technical staff for “Ash-Shahil” hospital in Ash-Shahil town east of Deir Ezzor, where it required doctors, technicians and nurses, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
After a large number of people applied, and the results of the employment competition were announced, the results were met with great discontent by the people of Ash-Shahil town, as a large number of them were rejected without offering convincing reasons, a number of applicants said to Deir Ezzor 24 Network.
Nurse S.G, from Ash-Shahil town, talked to Deir Ezzor 24 network about the details of the competition, where the young man said that the competition was not fair at all, as a large number of Ash-Shahil’s people were rejected, where the percentage of the rejected applicants reached nearly 90% of all the specialities, doctors, technicians, nurses and administrators despite that there were people of high competence, and have scientific expertise among the rejected applicants, while the people of the neighboring regions were the most fortunate to get the jobs due to favoritism and nepotism in selecting the employees.
He added that the rejection came either after asking impossible questions, or by telling the applicants directly that there are no places for them in the competition without giving reasons for that.
“Syria Relief” organization in turn responded to the objections raised and criticisms made against it due to the results of the competition, that a large number of applicants do not have the necessary competence, and that there were fake degrees that were discovered after examining them which reached up to 15% of the degrees presented, in addition, they said that there are no consensus among tribes in the area and that they fear of problems that may happen.
It is noteworthy that “Syria Relief” organization is responsible for several medical and health projects in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
