During the past period there have been disputes between the governor of Deir Ezzor in the Assad regime “Abdul-Majeed Al Kawakibi” and some contractors and investors in the province as a result of personal conflicts of interest.
D24 correspondent said that the biggest dispute occurred between the contractor (Samer Al-Sayyah), who was investing in Deir Ezzor parks, and the governor.
Our correspondent confirmed that, against the backdrop of the conflict between the governor and Al-Sayyah, the military security forces in Deir Ezzor arrested Samer Al-Sayyah’s brother, who is a leader of a military group in the National Defense militia in Deir Ezzor.
The correspondent added: by order of the governor, some of Deir Ezzor municipality’s machines entered “Talita” and “Women’s Union” parks and demolished them in order to give the project of renovating them to another contractor because of the conflict between Al-Sayyah and the governor of Deir Ezzor.
The two parks are considered to be the city’s lungs and a breathing space for civilians after most of Deir Ezzor city’s parks have become cemeteries as a result of the Assad regime’s criminality in recent years.
