The Internal Trade Directorate in Raqqa Governorate carried out inspection tours of grain receiving centers, after receiving complaints from a number of farmers regarding violations in some centers.
The results of follow-up and verification showed the validity of a number of complaints, as it was found that there were derelictions and violations represented by manipulation practices and mistreatment of farmers during grain receipt operations.
Based on the results of the tours, the Directorate took the necessary administrative and legal measures, which included relieving the heads of the Badr, Al-Rafika, Al-Sakhrat, and Bir Al-Hashm centers from their duties.
The measures also included making changes to some porter crews, based on the same complaints, as part of improving workflow and ensuring good treatment of farmers during the marketing season.
