Adnan Al-Dakhil, a member of the Executive Office of Deir Ezzor Governorate, held a meeting with the directors of spinning, paper and sugar factories and the industrial city.
The meeting was held to discuss the reality of industrial facilities that have stopped working, as a result of the damage they have sustained over the past years, in addition to the obstacles resulting from the «SDF» organization’s control over them at the present time.
The meeting discussed the economic and social impacts of the closure of these facilities, emphasizing their strategic importance as key pillars of local development and a major source of labor employment in the governorate.
The attendees emphasized the technical aspect, as facility administrations were directed to prepare accurate studies to limit the damage, determine rehabilitation requirements, and develop practical plans to return these facilities to the production cycle as soon as appropriate conditions are available, in a way that serves the public interest
This meeting comes within the framework of following up on the reality of the industrial sector in Deir Ezzor Governorate, and stressing the need for continued coordination with the relevant authorities to follow up on this file, in a way that ensures the restoration of the vital role of industry and enhances its contribution to economic developments.
