DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
The water crossing that connects the towns of Hawaij Diab on the banks of the Euphrates River in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, stopped working two days ago, according to the correspondent of Deir Ezzor 24 network.
Our correspondent said that the reason for stopping work at the crossing in the two towns was a dispute between the smugglers and his supervisors over managing the crossing and dividing its imports.
He added that the crossing is locally called “Al-Anater Crossing”, where “Inter” freight cars are transported between the two sides, loaded with foodstuffs for traders, in return for an amount of 400,000 SYP for each car paid to the SDF and 500,000 SYP for the Fourth Division for each move.
It is noteworthy that the crossing is run by tribal figures in the areas of SDF control (east of the Euphrates) and by the sons of “Nawaf Al-Bashir” in the areas controlled by the Assad regime (west of the Euphrates), in addition to the Fourth Division crossing between Ayash and Muhaimidah, and another crossing between Al-Hussan and Al-Baghiliyah.
