As part of the preparations for the upcoming Date Festival scheduled to take place in the town of Al-Jalaa on October 5, the Director of Agriculture in Deir Ezzor Governorate conducted a field tour in the city of Al-Bukamal and its countryside, accompanied by a delegation from the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
The tour included visits to several development projects supported by the organization, as well as direct meetings with local residents and producers, aimed at assessing the state of agricultural work and date production in the area.
Participants emphasized the importance of the festival in supporting producers and promoting the presence of local dates in markets, thereby contributing to revitalizing economic activity and encouraging agricultural investment in Deir Ezzor.
