Albukamal Water Unit, affiliated with the General Institution for Drinking Water in Deir Ezzor , carried out maintenance, cleaning and sterilization work that included sedimentation basins, filters and filters in the main Albukamal water station, as part of the efforts made to improve the quality of water provided to the people of the city.
The institution explained that these works come within a periodic plan aimed at raising the efficiency of the station and ensuring water safety, confirming at the same time the start of a study to rehabilitate the giant Albukamal water station in cooperation with the United Nations Children’s Fund «UNICEF».
The institution indicated that the rehabilitation work is scheduled to be completed in late 2026, given the strategic importance of the station and its vital role in providing drinking water to large areas in the countryside and the city of Albukamal.
