Deir Ezzor Communications Branch workshops continue to carry out maintenance and rehabilitation work on communications network components throughout the governorate, as part of a plan aimed at improving service quality and addressing malfunctions.
A source in the branch explained that the implementation workshop, during the inspection of the new distribution group on Al-Wadi Street in Al-Joura neighborhood, discovered a malfunction resulting from encroachment on one of the cables, which led to damage to a number of telephone boxes.
As a result, the central workshop began repairing and welding the cable, in preparation for completing the preparation of the telephone boxes and bringing them into service during the coming period.
In the same context, the implementation workshop was able to restore service to a number of subscribers in the Al-Hamidiyah neighborhood, after reports were received of its interruption as a result of the theft of three telephone boxes with their cables from the path feeding the neighborhood center, which caused the service to stop.
The source indicated that the workshops reconnected the boxes and put them into service, which contributed to restoring communications to affected subscribers, stressing the continued efforts of the Communications Branch in maintaining the telephone network and raising the level of services provided to citizens.
