DeirEzzor24 exclusive report
Most of the drainage networks in Deir Ezzor city went out of service with the recent rainfall, two days ago, according to a reporter of the DeirEzzor24 network.
Our reporter said that although the rains were not heavy, most of the city’s main streets flooded,
and that the reason for the floods every year with the arrival of winter is the poor implementation of the sewage networks by the Deir Ezzor City Council affiliated with the Assad regime, which led to the accumulation of water and mud in the streets, which hindered the movement of residents while the municipality workers ignored the maintenance of the drainage networks.
It is noteworthy that the residents have continuously appealed to the Assad regime’s institutions in the city, such as the Deir Ezzor Municipality and the governorate, to repair the sewage networks, but the response was always that there is not enough budget to rehabilitate the network.
