DeirEzzor24 exclusive report
The Qatirji militia has noticeably resumed its activity in smuggling fuel from areas controlled by the SDF to areas controlled by the Assad regime east of Deir Ezzor, according to a DeirEzzor24 Network reporter.
Our reporter said that the militia took advantage of the reopening of the river crossings connecting areas controlled by the SDF and areas controlled by the Assad regime east of Deir Ezzor governorate, to continue smuggling operations.
He added that there is resentment among the residents due to the theft and extortion practiced by militia members against the residents of villages under the control of the Assad regime east of Deir Ezzor, and due to the damage caused by fuel smuggling operations, especially to agricultural lands and crops.
It is noteworthy that every fuel leak in agricultural lands leads to the destruction of a large part of the crop and the unsuitability of the land for cultivation again.
