Yesterday, Saturday May 16, 2020, three people believed to be linked to Daesh were killed and several others arrested in an airborne operation carried out by the international coalition forces in a neighborhood of Al-Bussairah city east of Deir Ezzor. The operation also involved special forces of the SDF.
Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent said that the operation targeted men from outside Al-Bussairah city (not residents of the city) who are believed to be Daesh members.
Our correspondent added that the operation lasted for about an hour, during which the coalition called on the residents through loudspeakers to stay in their homes until the end of the operation, in order to keep them safe.
In the same vein, a group of the SDF Special Forces raided a house suspected to hide Daesh operatives, and arrested a number of those who were present there.
It is noteworthy that the international coalition has increased its security operations in the areas of Deir Ezzor countryside (east of the Euphrates) against Daesh cells, which have greatly increased their activity recently.
