Daesh sleeper cells in Deir Ezzor launch separate attacks on SDF checkpoints

Daesh sleeper cells launched surprise attacks on SDF checkpoints and positions in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, which resulted in clashes in the town of Al-Kibar, west of Deir Ezzor, in conjunction with an attack by unknown gunme on motorcycles who targeted the SDF-affiliated district center in Thiban, east of Deir Ezzor.

This coincided with Daesh attacks on the outskirts of the village of Abu Al-Nitel in the Makarid area, a checkpoint on the outskirts of Al-Jasmi village, another in the Maijil village, south of Al-Hasakah, and checkpoints in the villages of Al-Raqai and Al-Ashitah, west of Markada countryside.

Accordingly, the Deir Ezzor Military Council declared a state of alert and preparedness to confront the attacks of Daesh, and the artillery of the Omar field fired light shells, coinciding with Daesh movements, and conducting night patrols in several areas to prevent the cells movements.
