Yesterday morning, Friday, Daesh launched a large-scale attack on the positions of the Assad forces and the Iranian militias in al-Faydhah area in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
Heavy clashes between the organisation and the Assad’s forces took place in the area, resulting in a number of deaths and injuries on both sides.
Daesh attack coincided with air raids by the Assad regime warplanes, which intervened to prevent the organization from advancing in al-Faydhah badiyah east of Deir Ezzor.
Daesh’s attack on al-Faydhah area came in conjunction with similar attacks on positions of the Iranian militias in the badiyah of Al-Mayadeen city in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
It is worth recalling that on the 24th of the last month, D24 network reported on a large meeting of the Iranian militias in Al-Mayadeen city, in which the militias decided to reinforce the badiyah front to prevent Daesh from reaching the centers of the cities and towns in Deir Ezzor countryside.
