It was a poor stricken family residing in Daesh-held areas in Deir Ezzor province. The father of the familiy was the only one in charge of the other members. He would go to obtain bread with the coupon which the organization had distributed to some families. Those not possessing the coupon, had no right to bread.
One day, the father went to bring bread. After that, he was arrested by a Daesh members and was told ” Did you hand over the sattelite dish?’ for we imposed this on all the people in Deir Ezzor.”
The father: I have no stattelite dish at all.
The organization: We cannot believe you. Go and bring us the probative facts or you will not get any loaf of bread.
Afterwards, the man went to one of his friends from whom he borrowed an old, tattered and unfunctional reciever and handed it to the organization. However, Daesh claimed that the handing over of the sattelite reciever came too late and, therefore, he must undergo a Sharia session.
The father started undergoing the imposed Sharia session, leaving behind him his family without anyone helping them.
After ending that session, he went to check on the situation of his familiy to realize that his house had been destroyed and his four sons had been killed in airstrikes by the Assad regime on the Omal neighborhood on January 18, 2017.
