DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
DeirEzzor24 Network learned of corruption rampant in the Red Crescent organization in the city of Al-Mayadin in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
Expatriate families to the city are deprived of collecting their food rations because Crescent officials allocate a proportion of the food baskets to officers and leaders from the region in return for obtaining security approvals.
According to informed sources, the Red Crescent warehouse on Al-Arbaeen Street in the city of Al-Mayadeen was robbed, the day before yesterday, by an armed group believed to be from the National Defense Militia, without any reaction from the government or from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia whose headquarters are adjacent to the warehouse.
It is noteworthy that civil organizations, including the Red Crescent, are subject in one way or another to the military and security authority on which the Assad regime is based in Syria.
